Quarter one focused on Relationships. Students discussed questions such as: When is a good age to begin dating? What are the qualities I am looking for in someone I am CHOOSING to spend time with? etc. Students discussed healthy versus unhealthy characteristics in relationships.
Grade 8 students discussed the three components of and phases of a relationship.
Quarter 2 and 3 have been focused on teen dating violence. We are using the Safe Dates curriculum.

Quarter 3 will focus on Communicable and Non-Communicable diseases. Students discussed the only one hundred percent way to prevent unplanned pregnancies and sexually transmitted diseases: ABSTINENCE!
Quarter 4
Students will discuss how alcohol affects the brain and how alcohol and poor decision making can affect their futures. We will be using the Fatal Vision GOGGLES!
